Delete Your Data
For the Qaari app (org.qaari.app) and qaari.org, published by Rolvard.
Qaari has no account to delete. You never made one. There is no password, no profile, and no user record on our servers, so there is nothing for us to close on your behalf. What there can be is a prayer alert subscription and a synced copy of your bookmarks, both of which you switch on yourself, and both of which the button below removes straight away.
Delete your data
Qaari has no account to close. There is no password, no profile, and no record of you on our servers beyond the two things below, both of which you switched on yourself. This removes all of it.
- Your prayer alert subscription, including the rounded coordinates it uses.
- Your synced copy of progress and bookmarks, wherever it is stored.
- Everything Qaari has saved in this browser or app on this device.
This cannot be undone, and it runs on this device only. If you use Qaari on a phone and a laptop, run it on both, or delete the cloud copy here and clear the other device from its own settings.
What is deleted, and what is kept
| Data | Where it lives | On deletion |
|---|---|---|
| Prayer alert subscription: push endpoint, keys, coordinates rounded to about 1.1 km, timezone, method | Our notification store | Erased immediately and permanently |
| Synced bookmarks, last-read position, offsets, preferences | Your own Google Drive app folder, or our sync store on the Apple route | File deleted and the permission you granted is revoked |
| Reading progress, streak, bookmarks, settings | Your device only | Cleared from this device |
| Downloaded offline content packs | Your device only | Left in place. Remove them from storage settings inside the app |
| Emails you sent us through the contact form | Our mailbox | Not covered here. Ask us and we will delete the thread |
| Ordinary web server logs, including IP address | Cloudflare, our infrastructure provider | Retained briefly for security and abuse handling, then discarded. They hold no identifier that ties back to you |
If you would rather we did it
Write to [email protected] from any address, say that you want your data deleted, and a person will do it and confirm. Because the alert record is filed under a hash of your push endpoint and holds no email address, we will ask you to open this page on the device in question, since that device is the only thing that can name the record. There is no charge and no verification hoop beyond that.
Uninstalling instead
Removing the app takes the on-device data with it, and stops alerts reaching you. It does not delete the subscription record on the alert server, and it does not touch the synced file in your Drive. If you want those gone, run the deletion above before you uninstall. If you have already uninstalled, revoke Qaari at your Google account permissions and write to us for the rest.
